Street date for new album firm
WorldSound has confirmed that the August 25th street date for the new album from Sacred Oath is firmly in place. Transworld Entertainment (who operate FYE stores across America) will carry the CD on a national level and even feature the band as part of a special metal music promotion in 100 stores. Best Buy, Hot Topic, and Borders will stock the disc in the northeast and mid-atlantic states first. HMV stores will stock the new album in stores across Canada. Newly packaged editions of A Crystal Vision and ‘Till Death Do Us Part will also be available on that date.
The brand new self-titled album “Sacred Oath” was released in Europe on July 10th through SAOL, a subsidiary of the CMM Marketing, distributed by H’Art Musik.
iTunes featured the album for 10 consecutive weeks on the Rock Homepage and chose the first single “Counting Zeros” as the Discovery Download of the Week April 7th as part of an exclusive digital release.
Distribution in North America is through E1 Entertainment (Koch).
Bass player demolishes car, saves phone
The latest addition to the ranks of Sacred Oath - 20 year old bassist Brendan Kelleher - was involved in a car accident on Saturday July 4th. While driving in Connecticut, he lost control of his Jeep Cherokee and flipped it, sliding along the highway and eventually smashing into a utility pole. Luckily he escaped with minor injuries to his arm and and will still be able to perform at the band’s concert on July 18th. “I honestly don’t remember the accident at all,” says Brendan. “All in all I’m a lucky son-of-a bitch. I replaced my phone and managed to save my contact list!”
